Good and affordable restaurant. In a beautiful rustic old building. With courtyard where you can eat outside. Friendly service. I thought the wine was a bit too expensive and therefore drank a beer.

This review is for the reservation only. Due to the good reviews I tried to make a reservation by phone at the beginning of the week. This did not work because this connection is not reachable / available. Now I've had email contact since the middle of the week, which worked well, but "supposedly" no more space can be reserved for 4 people. I'm in the restaurant business myself and I really wonder how you can book a restaurant so full and no longer have space for spontaneous visitors or for guests who want to book 3/4 days in advance? It's a shame, we were looking forward to dining there after a hiking tour! My recommendation : Reserve 2 weeks in advance or don't even try if you are spontaneous! Simply unnecessary! ————- The answer to the owner here: In the Corona time we don't want to go to a restaurant by chance, but simply visit the restaurant after a strenuous day of hiking, eat and drink! Maybe understandable. We might try next year and would be happy to find a place in your restaurant. Food was good, but not special. Fries super salty, bread dry. Price is good. Staff was minimal. You didn't have full attention of the waitress; didn't look at us while ordering and was talking to other guest in between, just uninterested. I don't think I even noticed a smile. Garden looked nice.

Ordered a salad. It was also quite tasty. Unfortunately I was still hungry afterwards ... That doesn't usually happen.

There was no meal, extremely unfriendly service. Two meal times, guests are processed like on an assembly line. When we saw this, we left and will not come back either. Two standards are used here. Regulars and guests of second choice. That is not how it works.

As a family, we just wanted to have a glass of wine. The service force told us that nothing was available. Friends of ours came after us and asked for a table. They were offered a table inside. When I finally asked why we didn't get a table, the waitress went in quickly. It's a shame, you would have had good guests. We'll never come back like this.

The wine was great, the food very good and the team very friendly and attentive. The ambience is very appealing and you feel very comfortable. Price-performance right! Thanks for a great evening!

Great ambience, very tasty food and drinks. Especially the pans are recommended, but also the fish and the dessert variation. Extremely friendly and competent service. Outside seating is available. We were completely satisfied.

We were there last night eating and today as well because it tasted so good. The ambience is first class, super cozy and the staff very attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic, the taste was perfectly coordinated and the wine was delicious. Two wonderful wines

Very nice ambience and most importantly, very tasty dishes! The service is very friendly and attentive. I like to eat my steak in English and I don't know any cook in the whole area who does it so well. Unfortunately, as with many very good restaurants, you should pre-order a table.

The food was very good. The service friendly and attentive. The wine selection is excellent. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. The only criticism: the hull steak could be a little bigger. But it was medium to the point.

Everyone knows that I am not a big fan of German kitchen 🤔 and I didn't expected to be surprised. Wow and wow. This was recommend by the staff at the hotel I was at as a great local place and it did not disappoint. This is a very local place and makes you feel like your family sitting inside or outside on the patio to the back area too. The food was excellent and the service was too. Highly recommend if you are around going there for a meal.

Food took a really long time to get served (around 50 min), but to be fair, I believe we came at a busy time. Price wise it was fine when compared to usual restaurant prices in Germany, but the food was really nothing special.

A beautiful place, with amazingly delicious food, and a very fine variety of wine, in the most of a beautiful old town.. A must visit destination if you're in the area!

Worth having a wander through the cobbled streets of Andernach to find this Wine House. Lovely outside garden tables, which were very popular on a warm evening. Very good service, tolerant of bad German and lovely food. Advice on local wine was also good. Great place!
